About Us

We are a fast-growing, AHCA-licensed home care agency in the process of qualifying for skilled care services and Joint Commission accreditation. Our mission is to provide exceptional, compassionate care to our clients and their families. As we expand into skilled home health services, we are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee clinical operations, compliance, and quality of care.


Role Summary

The Director of Nursing will serve as the clinical leader of our skilled nursing program. In the early stages, the position will be light in workflow but will require strategic oversight, policy development, and compliance readiness for Joint Commission survey. As patient volume grows, this role will transition to a more active leadership position with full-time hours.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of skilled nursing services

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Joint Commission standards

  • Participate in policy and procedure development aligned with skilled licensure requirements

  • Supervise clinical staff and ensure appropriate training, onboarding, and evaluations

  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives

  • Review and approve care plans and skilled documentation

  • Collaborate with the Administrator on strategic planning and growth

  • Be available for Joint Commission survey preparation and participation


Requirements

  • Active RN license in Florida (Required)

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a DON or supervisory RN in home health, hospice, or SNF (Required)

  • Knowledge of AHCA and Medicare Conditions of Participation

  • Familiarity with Joint Commission or CHAP standards preferred

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Comfortable working in a hybrid, evolving work environment


Schedule & Compensation

  • Approx. 35 hours/week to start, flexible schedule

  • Opportunity to grow into full-time leadership role as workflow increases
